The Pledge

At Ruitenberg, a family-owned business, we are quite used to keeping an eye on future generations. Frankly, in our own way we’ve been practicing these themes all along in our company, although we hardly ever mentioned it.

However, looking at the world today – people, planet and prosperity alike – we feel the need to express ourselves more clearly and to share our experiences more widely. Whispering it from the rooftops, so to speak.

Recently, we took a first step in signing the Pledge, a joint initiative of the international Family Business Network and UN organization Unctad to emphasize our commitment. Our next step will be to investigate in which Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations we could make a difference.
